Iam very excited to be giving the world premiere of Derek David's Partita for Solo Viola at MIT on October 26th! Derek and I have been friends since 2019 meeting at the Sunset Festival in Los Angeles where I had the pleasure of working on his duo for violin and viola and very quickly fell in love with his writing.

Working with him was also such an exploration in possibilities of colouring sound and I knew that the viola world would benefit so greatly from having him write us a solo work.
